My goals as the Executive Committeewoman:

To grow participation in the TN Democratic party.

To actively encourage involvement as Democrats from all who feel disenfranchised from the political process.

To advocate for inclusivity in the TN Democratic party.

To listen and communicate the needs of the constituents of the local Democratic party members.

To help encourage and develop future leaders in the TN Democratic party.

To be an advocate for the needs of the Democrats in district 3.

To facilitate conversation and collaboration among the Democratic parties in district 3

To support Democratic candidates in District 3 as well as around the state.

To live the Democratic values of democracy, and human respect and dignity for all.

I will work to help create and sustain the “Blue Wave” coming to NE Tennessee. The strategy must include choices we will make together. I will help the county Democratic Parties become stronger in the 3^rd Senate District. I will actively campaign for declared Democratic Candidates. I will help potential candidates overcome the challenges of becoming a candidate.

I will be active in the region working on issues of interest to Democrats such as health care, health insurance, women’s health care, education, poverty, care and support for our military and veterans, sustainable economic development, increased minimum wage and wage equality, climate change, and human dignity and equality.

Your role in this partnership is to come to meetings of the party and on community issues. Support the party and candidates with your time and dollars. We must counter “dark money” with citizen money. To have more Democratic candidates on the ballot requires pride to put the “D” beside your name and an active party to provide support. Won’t you join me by wearing and claiming the Democratic Party with pride and becoming active in your local county party?
